State Bank of India UK (SBIUK)

15 King St, London EC2V 8EA, UK – 020 7454 4300

Excellent personal customer service. I arrived early - before the bank opening times- and was shown to a waiting area and offered a beverage. When the bank actually opened I was delt with promptly and efficiently. Very friendly staff. Very pleasant experience.

Does not provide Credit cards to its account holders. Its Debit card also poses payment problems in 5-10% transactions.Bank has a non cooperative attitude if you face a genuine issue. Customer care support has time limitations. Not a very good experience overall. But secure and safe.

Local Chambers of Commerce for EC3N 4AA. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Implantcenter staff for their kindness and patience towards me. It's been a year that I have had no difficulties eating and I am smiling freely. :)

Professionalism and empathy. Next time I come for a consultation at the Implantcenter, I will sit in the dental chair without fear. A perfect choice, I can only recommend the clinic to everyone.

Dentistry 100

64-65 Long Ln, London EC1A 9EJ, UK – 020 7638 7100

This place is a real gem. Dr Parkman is the friendliest dentist I think I've ever had, and the kids all get on really well with him too. The surgery is clean, funky, and they play great tunes. Have recommended him it to several of my friends and they all love him too!!!

South Bank Dentists

Riverside Building, Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 7PB, UK – 020 7183 3558

When it comes to tooth pain, you quickly understand your teeth are Alive and Kicking. Yes I'm that old. A couple of root canals, gold teeth, the standard ones, and some fillings. This gives you a little overview of my exposure to the dentist professional body. Well, I never met any practice who looked so carefully and efficiently to my dental health. Bravo to the all team! And if you really don't want to go to Southbank Dentists for its high quality service, then go for it for its location: superbly situated in the County Hall, next to Big Ben, of course! Looking over your shoulders to see if you're still there, hahaha :)

London Doctors Clinic

London Doctors Clinic - Private GP

4.1, Alpha House, 100 Borough High St, London SE1 1LB, UK – 020 8712 9378

Fantastic experience at the London Doctors Clinic, booking system is easy to use and I got an appointment close to work the following day. Appointment on time and the doctor was excellent. Couldn't recommend more highly.

First rate: quick; clinical; professional - everything you need from a clinic close to work. Got what I required without any unnecessary hassle, nor need to register. Spot on

London Doctors Clinic - Private GP

109, 55 Old Broad St, London EC2M 1RX, UK – 020 8712 9378

Very quick, kind, clean, and efficient. Not a second wasted. Completely reasonable prices as well - I'm quite impressed!

Needed an urgent blood test. Booked online got a near immediate personal confirmation. They were able to respond to a query I had quickly. The appointment itself was brilliant. The doctor tried to save me some cash by offering a variation on the test I needed which I was unaware of. Results came super quick way before the advertised time. Would definitely recommend and if I had the cash I'd come here for everything!

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG, UK – 020 3456 7890

Had a 10 day stay back in 2012. Could and would not fault a single thing about this hospital. Got me back up and healthy following major surgery within a week. Dr Neil Kitchen is just a genius. Thank god he's alive. Keep on running Neil. All of the staff i incurred were also " spot on "

Had to go there for a blood test it's a pity they don't do children. But if you do need a blood test then make sure you listen and keep am eye on the numbers as they don't call them out or even make a sound when changing.

Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

2 Manor Pl, London SE17 3BH, UK – 020 7701 5655

This is a great church. There are family friendly services in both English and Spanish. The atmosphere is really nice, and you will definitely have an enjoyable spiritual experience. I feel closer to Jesus Christ whenever I come. It is easy to access on public transportation, close to Kennington tube station and several bus stops.

Always good to be there.

St John's Church, Hoxton

St John's Church, Pitfield St, London N1 6NP, UK – 020 7739 9302

My impression after three visits is that this is a very friendly inclusive church of diverse peoples. There is an enthusiastic positive atmosphere and broad involvement from a wide cross section. Speakers were stimulating and motivating with a thought provoking depth of insight. I loved the extemporaneous intercessions. The musicians leading the contemporary praise and worship were clearly talented and included different age groups and styles. The pews were not the most comfortable but as time sped by very quickly this was hardly an issue. Sound and A/V were good. The interior of the church building is quite impressive but better still were the smiles and welcome from this warm and dedicated bunch of believers!

Nice place, with an excellent kid's playground and small park

110 Elephant Rd, London SE17 1LB, UK – 020 7703 7001

Took in my old bike for a part exchange on another. Loads of second hand bikes of all varieties to choose from. Staff members were helpful and informative and encouraged a test ride. Nice smooth transaction. Have a months free servicing if there are any problems. Couldn't ask for more!

They fixed in no time the puncture that I had on my front tyre. Really friendly, experienced staff and happy to help you!

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around London

Sitar Indian Restaurant

149 Strand, London WC2R 1JA, UK – 020 7836 3730

Well, I've been to many indian restaurant and i think this one is the best of the best. Great food, Excellent service, Very friendly staff. I'm definitely going again.❤

The food was delicious and the service not pushy at all. They allow you to take your time to the point you must tell them when you are ready for the bill. The portions were amazing.

Mudmee Thai Restaurant

12A Artillery Ln, London E1 7LJ, UK – 020 7247 0772

I am a regular here for lunch. Food is decent and at good prices. One staff member (older man) is racist towards non-white people. I come here often for lunch, and I have noticed a pattern. Most staff members are very nice and pleasant to me. However, there is one staff member who treats white people differently from how he treats non-white people. If the diners are ethnically white (British, French, German, Polish, etc), he is very nice to them, chats to them, and when they leave, he says loudly, "Thank you for coming and have a good evening!" However, I am not ethnically white. My parents are from SouthEastAsia, similar to this staff member (I'm guessing he is from Thailand originally). He treats me coldly, does not chat to me, and never, ever, ever, says "Thank you for coming!" to me. The other day, at lunch, a couple of South Asian background sat to my left, and another group of men of European background sat to my right. He was very friendly towards the men of European background. And he completely ignored me and the South Asian couple. If you think I'm being paranoid -- I'm not. This is a pattern, and only happens with one specific staff member (older Thai man). All the other staff members are very nice. It's a pity, because his treatment definitely spoils my mood at lunch. I can't help but notice how discourteous he is to the non-white customers.

Authentic little place with great food, quick service and at very reasonable prices. Some of the staff do come across as a little abrupt, but I guess this is just a cultural difference, most are friendly, welcoming and happy to help. I'd definitely go back.

Tas Firin Restaurant

160 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 6DG, UK – 020 7729 6446

This place is great value for a meal for two 3 or 4 persons. The food is cooked right in front of you, the meat is tender and service is good. The staff do whatever they can to keep customers happy. I go there at least once a fortnight. It's worth it. I love it.

Very good prices, friendly service, nice portions, quality food

Mars Montessori Bilingual Nursery

4 Collins Yard, off Islington Green, Angel, London N1 2XU, UK – 020 7099 0452

A wonderful, nurturing and creative environment for little ones. Our son (now in school) loved his time at Mars. The teachers are amazing -- they keep the children engaged but let them do their own thing, always encouraging the children's confidence and independence. The bilingual environment is stimulating and positive, and the menu is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Very pleased with Mars nursery overall . Our daughter has improved so quickly in so many different areas. Her language skills has improved massively in the past few months and her confidence level around other children is now very satisfactory. I will also add a special mention to the quality of food served during lunch time. meat/fish, veggies, fruit and a selection of french cheeses to finish every meal. We highly recommend this Montessori bilingual nursery to any parents who looking for a small and caring environment.for their child

Primary and Secondary Schools

Oaklands Secondary School

Old Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 6PR, UK – 020 7613 1014

I am not rating the school, but i am rating the Arabic class that takes place on Saturdays and Sundays. I moved my child to Tanzeel white chapel, and they treated my child ridiculously bad, so i moved my child to Olive Tree. The Arabic that takes place in Oaklands.

My son attended school gave him a good start

Ark Globe Academy

Harper Rd, London SE1 6AG, UK – 020 7407 6877

I have used the sport hall and I think it is fantastic, good lighting for badminton.

Academic please not certain what behaviour waste certain their behaviour in the school has been very violent for the past year 2016 features should be concerned about their child safety and their education as if the child does not feel safe wasn't too much friend it's around the child the child will not get enough education to self make him have success in life all mothers and fathers want their child to be successful in life I hate this school A3 on its behaviour waste and Academic structure the academic structure is not certain because the ones that I know was from last year I hope this description helps you to find the right school for your child

Haggerston School

Weymouth Terrace, London E2 8LS, UK – 020 7739 7324

Growing through Haggerston school could be a real pain; however this is where I had built my memories, learned new skills and experienced a range of opportunities. Not to mention my grades were all above B's. They push you to achieve your best.It has a great drama unit. Their drama is very unique and every student is guaranteed a pass if they put in effort because of the teachers fantastic teaching style.

City of London School for Girls

City of London School for Girls, St Giles Terrace, Barbican, London EC2Y 8BB, UK – 020 7847 5500

My daughter currently attends but has been very unwell with a long term condition. The way the staff have consistently "gone the extra mile" for her and us shows a level of care that is exceptional. As a parent that is the most important thing and I would happily recommend the school to anyone considering sending their daughter there.

City of London School for Girls is a non-denominational, independent day school, for girls aged 7 to 18, based in the London Square Mile. The School was established by the Corporation of the City of London with money from a bequest from William Ward of Brixton to provide education for girls that “would correspond, as near as may be, to the City of London School”. The school opened in Carmelite Street in 1894 and moved to the present premises in the Barbican in 1969.
