Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Bicycle Shops or Bicycle Accessories Outlets or Cycle Repairers

On Your Bike

The Vaults, Montague Cl, London SE1 9DA, UK – 020 7378 6669

Good service, staff very efficient and helpful. Bikes in good working order and comfortable (though saddle quite firm). Overall good value for money and will use service again.

I rented three hybrid bikes for myself and my parents for the Prudential Freecycle event. I was pleasantly surprised with the top quality service and hardware I got for a very decent price! The bikes were modern, light-weight and perfectly maintained. This is also definitely one of the best placed bike shops in all of London for that event.

Evans Cycles

77-81 The Cut, Lambeth, London SE1 8LL, UK – 020 7928 4785

I came here spontaneously after my breaks got stuck and Said saved me and fixed it within minutes so that I could cycle safe back home - and all that for free. Great service and really friendly staff! Would definitely recommend!

Dealt with several of the guys there -- all very helpful. They answered my questions and got me fitted up with a great new bike.

Bikeworks

138 - 140 Cambridge Heath Rd, London E1 5QJ, UK – 020 8980 7998

They performed a complete service on my bike, replaced parts which needed it and even re-corked the handlebars. The work was done to a very high standard at reasonable prices and they even straightened my back wheel, which was slightly buckled without asking. This was my third service with them and I have complete confidence in them, including customer care, which was great!! keep it up gals and guys and thank you!!!

Amazing! They actively looked for second hand parts so I would save money, and are interested in getting things right over doing them quick. They were super friendly, helpful and explained everything. Best bike shop I’ve been to in London.

Cycle Hire

London Bicycle Tour Company

74 Kennington Rd, Kennington, London SE11 6NL, UK – 020 7928 6838

I did the Love London tour and really enjoyed it! Ollie was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable and entertaining. I am a cyclist in the states but have never cycled in such a busy city - you will go through some heavy traffic areas and busy pedestrian areas so I wouldn’t recommend this tour for young kids. Overall it was fantastic and I got to see many great sights in a London!

Zelda was great! Our tour was delayed by viewing all the events of the 100th Anniversary of the RAF at Buckingham Palace. Saw the 100 aircraft flyby Trafalgar Square and even the Queen!! We volunteered to make up some time on the return, but Zelda couldn't resist stopping and showing us each sight, even though we were about 1.5 hours delayed. Thank you so much for the highlight of our London trip.
