Lovely little coffee shop, brilliant staff. Helped me out with a flat tire in no time. Would stop again for coffee.
I chose this shop due to their top rankings and I must say I was very surprised about the friendly/component staff - in the cafe and workshop area. Yummy home-made ginger tea, nice atmosphere, brilliant service, very good price value!

I found the staff to be knowledgable and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There were a couple of times I called and there was no answer but then I called back during non-peak times and it was fine. It's not always possible but try to plan your visit for a less busy time and you can probably avoid the negative experience...
Being a regular bike commuter, I go to Evans Spitalfield quite often, because I am working nearby. I like the store, because its staff is friendly and try to be helpful, even during rush hours. Although I agree with other reviewers that it seems like the store is understaffed. Among the staff, Patricio was especially helpful in advising on a bike purchase: he knows well the range of bikes, asked me about my preferences and budget, and advised a bike that meets my needs. I have been using my new bike for 2 month already and I totally adore it. Thanks, Patricio, and everyone and please keep all customers happy!

Balfe's isn't just the best bike shop I've ever been to, it's pretty much the best service I've had in any shop. They are so knowledgeable, really generous with their time, and so keen to help wherever they can. Some things they do while you wait, and everything is done to a really high standard. And on top of that - fantastic value. I'm not normally one to review places but Balfe's is so great it got me reviewing!
These guys are the best, why anyone would ever go to Evans or any of the other big 'bicycle walmarts' to have their bike serviced it beyond me. You get so much more for your money supporting a small independent bike shop like this full of people who actually care about you and your bike. This bike shop is the silver lining to any of my bike troubles - so glad I found a reliable place to turn to where me and my ride get treated with respect every time!

Nice way to meet London and some of its interesting facts. Our guide was Charlenne, she was really nice, warm, and funny

Very professional hire service. I hired a Trek Emonda 105 thru the London Bridge shoppe for 3 days and cycled to Box Hill for some training rides. The staff we very helpful and fit my cleats and pedals, seat height perfectly. the bike was in great shape and never let me down once during the time I had the bike. I would highly recommend this shop for cycle hire if visiting London.
By far the most helpful workshop staff in any London bike shop I have come across over the past 5 years. It's now the only workshop I go to. I have stopped in a number of times looking for parts, or for maintenance only for a mechanic to either remedy an issue there and then for free, or take time to show me how to fix the issue myself. When the work required is more involved I have always received speedy service, and very fair pricing. The workshop have even ordered parts in for me at cost. You couldn't ask for better. #1 LBS in London.

These guys are competent and really keen to provide a good service. Prices are good, workshop is tidy. I've been here twice now, and both times have been a good experience. Today they fixed an electrical problem on my bike they they'd estimated might be about 30-60 mins work; it turned out to be simpler than expected so they charged me £10; they could have charged me more and I'd have been none the wiser, but they didn't. Good honest service. Thanks guys.
Called yesterday afternoon. They asked me to bring in this morning. Was up on the ramp for a service within 10 mins of arrival and Service was finished within an hour. I have a Chinese Scooter, with most of the major Service Centers around London refusing to look at it, but these wonderful people dealt with it like Pros, and had me riding away with a smile on my face and a scooter that felt so much better in the road. I recommend Highly to anyone on 2 wheels. Will be bringing all my bikes to these guys in the future. Friendly, courteous and really great value for money!
