Willings House, 356-364 Grays Inn Rd, Kings Cross, London WC1X 8BH, UK – 0871 984 6256
The room is quite spacious (compared to other hotels in London). We stayed there in the summer which is not great. The room only has a heater and no AC (which is actually normal in the UK). So the room was really hot eventhough we closed the drape and open the window. Great location as it's really close to King's Cross station. Good for a transit before your next train journey.
The location is fantastic, the hotel is literally across the road from Kings Cross station. However this means it is quite noisy. My room was directly above the train tracks so I was woken up early in the morning. The reception does provide earplugs though so I recommend taking up the offer! Breakfast was included. It was continental but wasn't especially great.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, a couple of minutes walk from the tube station and really easy to find. The staff were helpful and friendly and check in was really easy. It was a bit of a maze to find our room but we found it okay with directions from the receptionist. Everything was clean and tidy and the beds were really comfortable, the only problem we had was the room smelt slightly damp. Breakfast was a basic continental but still nice enough. I would stay here again, it was quite good value for money

Modernised guest house within stones throw of Kings Cross/St Pancras Stations & British Library. We had a large, clean & comfortable room with small but good bathroom. Breakfast - continental - good. The room was in the basement (I.e. no views) but warm and quiet (once you got used to the air-conditioner). Staff very nice and helpful (could leave cases). Would use again but try an upper room.
What a great spot we found here 250 metres from the Eurostar Station in London. Perfect. We thought it was going to be small and it was just the opposite. Spacious, clean and modern. Breakfast was great too. Guy at the check-in desk was more than helpful and was tripping over himself to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. You get what you pay for really and this was worth every penny.
28 Harrison St, Kings Cross, London WC1H 8JF, UK – 020 7278 3966
I am so happy we found this place. My husband and I stayed for a week-long trip to London and we could not be more pleased with the location, atmosphere, food, and hospitality of the Harrison. This place is a dream for vegetarians. We were served a full vegetarian breakfast in our room at promptly the time we asked. Twice we ordered dinner meals, once on their Sunday roast menu and once on their regular menu. Not one bit disappointed! The Harrison is a gem!!
We came here for their Sunday Roast after hearing how good it was and we weren't disappointed. So good! The prices are reasonable as well and there's free wifi. One point is knocked off for the decor and ambiance (or lack thereof). Inside it is very simple (plain wooden tables; hard seats) but even so, not terribly uncomfortable. It's also a bit out of the way and not especially close to the nearest tube station (10 min walk?). That being said, it's well worth a visit for the Sunday Roast and live Irish Folk Music jam on Sunday evenings!

Old reliable in the heart of Shoreditch. Shortish menu which always has a burger and fish & chips plus always a few other tasty options. Staff are very nice and there's a good selection of craft beers and wines. Good place for an informal sit down lunch.
AMAZING! Group of 12 for Christmas dinner and we had a great time! Service, food and atmosphere were all exceptional!

Very nice selection of German beers and ok German food. Personally not a big fan of the emphasis on Bundesliga & Co. I avoid going on match days but the people who go seem to love it.
Wasn't sure what to expect but I wanted German food. We were blown away!! Portions were good and the flavors were outstanding. I wanted to order a second Cordon Bleu but held myself back. It was hands down the best meal we had the whole time we were in London!! Don't be discouraged just because it's not right next to the underground. It is worth the short walk.

We loved our stay at this incredibly charming B&B. It's in a great location - on a quiet street extremely convenient to several bus stops and a quick 3-minute walk to the Lambeth North underground station. The owners were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Royal Suite and loved the room and decor - we would absolutely stay here again and hope we have the chance to, soon! We honestly didn't have a single complaint about our stay and could not have asked for better accommodations for our trip to London.
Captain Bligh House is a superb B&B centrally located in London, very close to Lambeth North tube station and within 10 minutes walk of Westminster Bridge over the Thames River which will give you great views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The hosts, Gayna & Simon are extremely knowledgeable about London and have very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated each of their rooms and provide a comprehensive starter pack which is very welcoming for tired travellers. Captain Bligh House is an ideal place for anyone who wishes to visit London for a few days [a week is ideal & highly recommended] because of its close proximity to the Royal Parks; art galleries; theatres; museums; concert venues; churches; royal palaces etc. We have stayed at Captain Bligh House more than 6 times and recommend that visitors book well ahead as it is very popular and always a pleasure to revisit with ideal hosts. Refer to their informative website for all the necessary details.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
