I really like this hotel, I live in Dubai and always stay there when I visit London. It’s right next to the Tube, walking distance to Liverpool street and just a really Cool place to stay. The rooms are quirky, clean and comfortable and you just know exactly what you’re getting from every stay. The price is very reasonable and doesn’t fluctuate too much. There is always a discount code flying around which makes you feel like you’re getting a good deal. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights.
Stayed a week here (business). For me, certainly not a place for the business traveller. Comes across as a very nice hostel more than a hotel. Novelty feel - lampshades made out of hoses, interesting clothes hangers - fun at the start but then they get a bit irritating. Comfy bed with a nice TV at the end of it. Minimalistic bathroom, soap/shampoo in large tubs (used by previous guests) which were OK I guess. Do not pay extra for the breakfast - it is a very simple buffet with little or no fruit, it was very poor, you do have the option to buy more standard meals from the menu though. I had dinner in the restaurant here twice (rain), again, not the best and apart from the Australian girl, service was terrible! Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. It would be an OK place for a weekend away (eating out!)but any longer and it would start to irritate!!

One of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. Both in the Netherlands and the UK. Everything you could want. The beds are amazing and the staff cannot help you enough. Very accommodating. It's reasonably priced for London. They don't offer many discounts and it's rare the price will shift below 100 per night.
Absolutely loved this place. It is the best hotel I have stayed in a long time. The staff were amazing and friendly. The location was great.. the view from the rooftops bar was excellent, the quirky reception and hangout area was fabulous. Loved the techie features of the rooms and it was super clean...Free movies too...I would highly recommend to any visitor to London..

The room was quite good, but not the best. It didn't have have a mini fridge. However it did have fantastic views, see attached pictures. The price is also good for central London. It is a short trip to the nearest tube station and plenty to see right out the door. Well worth staying here.
Upscale hotel in an amazing location beside the river Thames. Staff all professional and helpful. From the chap on the door to the people serving the food and drinks. Didn't stay there but attended an event. The facilities were great and the lunch provided was also very good. I've attended two events here and happy to return.

We spent a week here and loved it. Great staff, serving great food and drinks. Rooms are small, but we weren't there to hangout in the rooms. Each day started with a great breakfast and then ended with drinks in the pub. Close to all the public transport at Kings Cross.
Our food came out so quick, it was as if they pre-cooked it knowing what we were going to order. It's not the best roast I've had. I asked for my sirloin to be medium-rare, but it was pretty much well-done. The Yorkshire pudding was over done too and gravy too thick. It's a nice little pub, away from the busy main roads. Wheelchair access: There is a small step to get in and toilets are downstairs (so not accessible).

The place is well designed and makes you feel like home. The broad choice of beers is well selected, the different wines from different countries like Romania is much appreciated. The food is the cherry on the cake: the presentation as well as the taste and the quantity are just perfect. The staff had good advice and always smiling and welcoming. Always a pleasure to come.
Broad selection of beers are the biggest attraction here, with what also looks to be a strong gastropub menu showing. We only ate a few finger foods to soak up alcohol so I can't comment with any great depth but I do think the proportions need a bit of work.. peas and hummus come with barely any peas, whitebait comes with barely any whitebait. Flavours are all there, just don't the balance was right. Still giving 4 stars as the atmosphere and service is very good.

Great place for Sunday roast. A large variety of options and so tasty. I had the lamb roast and it was delicious. Others in the group ordered the roast beef, mixed roast and the seafood pie. Everyone equally satisfied. The bloody Mary tasted a bit odd though, but I'd just recommend a different drink. Would definitely come back here for the roast!
I went to The Princess of Shoteditch yesterday for dinner with my partner and was really impressed. The menu wasn’t over fussy, and had a good selection of things to choose from that I actually wanted to eat. Everything came out well cooked and well balanced. The deserts were particularly nice, and we were told all produced on the premises. The service was also excellent, just the right balance of friendly and professional, without being overbearing. The wine selection was good, and all in all we thought very good value for money. It’s nice to see a venue on the city and Shoreditch borders that opens at weekends and had a nice buzz about it. So many are dead at weekends, or too rowdy. Next time we’ll try the all day Sunday lunch, as I’ve often found it hard to get a good roast. Well done.

Excellent - fabulous cottage booked in Threlkeld, Lake District. No hassle and very easy to book. Would definitely book again.
Booking was totally painless and ,we had a choice of potential places to stay. Acting through the agent kept a certain professional distance as a safety and peace of mind feature btween the owners agents and us the bookers.

The best decision we made on our London trip last fall was staying at the Captain Bligh House. Excellently located, immaculate, very affordable, why would we ever look anywhere else? The room was as-described, prepared with all the amenities necessary for comfort and self-catering. Our room (The Crow's Nest) was among the treetops, quiet, and peaceful - simply charming. Transportation was easy as could be: bus stations are across the street, the Lambeth North tube station is a very short walk away, and it's just a few minutes walk to Waterloo Station which will deliver you further afield via National Rail. Plenty of dining and drinking within walking distance. The War College itself has beautiful grounds if you feel like a sunset stroll. Curiosities abound a short walk away at the Lower Marsh Market. We could spend days without leaving the vicinity and there'd still be stuff to see! Gayna and Simon were lovely hosts, providing us with detailed information about the area around the house as well as plenty more to see and do in London. Always available if we needed them, never intruding when we wanted peace and quiet. Without a doubt we will stay here again!
We loved our stay at this incredibly charming B&B. It's in a great location - on a quiet street extremely convenient to several bus stops and a quick 3-minute walk to the Lambeth North underground station. The owners were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Royal Suite and loved the room and decor - we would absolutely stay here again and hope we have the chance to, soon! We honestly didn't have a single complaint about our stay and could not have asked for better accommodations for our trip to London.

pretty good for the price I found the staff quite helpful and polite and the room was clean = yes the shower is small and internet just about quick enough to steam 720p netflix.
Lovely staff, decent room for price
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
