Excelent place to work with

London Persian Rescue

St Johns Estate, Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2XE, UK – 020 7403 7907

I cannot speak highly enough of Barbara and the work of the London Persian Rescue. Over the years I've homed two beautiful cats from here. This is my absolute 'go to' place because of their knowledge, love and genuine concern for the animals. Long may it continue.

I have just adopted my second cat from Barbara. Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Barbara phoned me back straight away when I emailed her enquiring about a cat both times and was very helpful and thorough in all aspects of the adoption process. I was able to come and meet both cats before deciding to adopt and Barbara offered lots of very helpful advice. Both cats were fully vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped and most importantly were very happy. All the cats are £150 which you donate online to the charity. This rescue is all about the cats and their welfare and is not about the money as some comments suggest. Barbara does a fantastic job and you can tell she really cares about all the cats in her care and really goes out of her way to ensure their health and happiness. I would thoroughly recommend London Persian rescue to anyone looking to adopt a cat. Thanks Barbara for everything you do and carry on the good work!

I got my beautiful Benji from Leeds in October 2017, he is such a good dog he settled in with us straight away as you can see he likes his home comforts, he is spoilt to death we love him so much don't know what we would do without him. We would like to thank the staff at Leeds for looking after him until we were able to collect him.

we have visited your shrewsbury site many times in the last month, every member of staff has been wonderful ,always very helpful and with great knowlage and understanding we have travelled a long way from Sarn in mid wales and nothing has been to much trouble for them to help us

Voluntary Action Islington

200A Pentonville Rd, Kings Cross, London N1 9JP, UK – 020 7832 5800

Modern meeting room. Handy for Kings Cross and St Pancras. Friendly staff.

I found this to be a great venue for attending training, in close walking distance of St Pancras and King's Cross stations and with a range of meeting rooms and excellent catering. The only down side was one room we were in had limited options about being either hot or cold rather than warm, but I would be pleased to attend training or meetings here again.

Wonderful shop with an outstanding staff, all volunteers. They sell only high end items in good condition. Easy to find steals on designer clothes at great prices. Did I mention the beautiful staff? All proceeds benefit Save the Children!

Cute little second hand / thrift shop with proceeds going to a good cause. Maily women's clothes with a tiny section of children's clothes and books, a few shoes and handbags and other home goods. Lots of items from topshop.

Oxfam

29 Islington High St, London N1 9LH, UK – 020 7837 2394

Though the shop as a whole isn’t great, maybe a little over priced, the back is where you can find some interesting stuff. They have a rack specifically for more expensive labels where I bought a Vivienne Westwood shirt which usually even second hand are very expensive. Also bought a great big 2001: a space odessey poster in a frame which was really cool.

Great charity shop and great services
