Our visit to the George was purely opportunistic: We had just got off the train and was searching for a place to eat when we were handed a 25% off voucher to launch the Spring Menu. Who could say no to that?!?! They bravely advertised some of the best fish and chips in London and we were not disappointed, the haddock was cooked beautifully and both the craft ale and stout batters were amazing. The selection of tap beers was adequate and the price wasn't bad either. They also separated out the bar area and the dining area so if you were looking for a quiet bite to eat (as we were) you could get out of the hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend!
Average as pubs go. Kronenbourg on draught though so not all bad. Sky Sports normally showing on TV, and if you get bored with the George then you can wander through to Catch (spirits bar) without leaving the building

Henrys bar is a Lovely homely space. The platters are overpriced. But the drinks, rooms and staff are excellent.
I really like this place. Really nice English food. The venison pie is really good.

Very often you heard about historic places with very good stories, here you have the stories and good beers/ciders too. I was living in Dorset and this place reminds me it because I drank a good cider! Plenty of people seated, stand up and chatting
Good pub with decent beer choice and friendly atmosphere! Also you get a glance of what was London in the Victorian era, due to the history of the pub. See Jack the Ripper :) Recommended if you're in the area and looking for a late night pint.

Good food but irritatingingly let down like so many places these days with an underhand 12.5%= service charge , if you're charging for food why do you need a service charge? Shame really as I'd have gone back otherwise
I come here from time to time as it's near to my work. Food is delicious, staff are very welcoming and friendly. I like that they are very careful with dietary requirements, and go above and beyond to make sure that I know what I'm eating and don't compromise my dietary needs. They have some very good vegan options in amongst their regular items, Just ask the staff.

Nice ambience and attentive staff. Guitarist was very entertaining. I was a bit disappointed in my food. Lamb stew was a served with much of the rendered fat as the gravy. A bit pricey for what it ultimately was.
Really amazing food and the waiters and waitresses are really lovely people! There is a really big family vibe to this restaurant and it comes out in the flavour of the place. Also if your accessible this place is not too bad but it is quite difficult to get to the loo - yes there is a disabled loo here!!

Don't understand how anyone could rate this below a four. Visited this restaurant a number of times and every time the service and food has been impeccable. One of my favourite vegetarian restaurants in London

Just came back from a Valentines meal at this place. Great choice of menu for this lovey dovey day! However not came with a £35 per head price tag but it was decent compared to others. Food was nice, the prosecco was amazing! However absolutely died when l tasted their chocolate moose! A must have if you ever go there!
Tasty food, good service

The spicy fish is quite fair and authentic. Beef stomach was a tad salty. These dishes were better than in Chinatown. Owner is friendly and we found the service to be fine. They also have a much as you can eat hot pot, which is fair value if you are into different pieces of innards etc and have a big appetite. Beer selection a bit limited.
Really decent hotpot buffet place. Reasonably priced, the food are serve up to you as you pick from the food list then make your round(s) of order. They also have a fair policy of not wasting food, I think it's nice. Have been there few times, and always go out with happy stomach. If you see a Chinese restaurant in a foreign country where lots of chinese visit, it's hard to go wrong.

This is amazing! I lived in Sichuan for 3 years, and I really miss authentic food from there. I am so happy for finding this place. I was told that I was choosing the food that only chinese usually order, and had some good chats and great service from the staff and manager. Ended up going twice in a week! Try the Sichuan spicy dishes!
Food was good but portions were a bit small, so we wanted to order a few more dishes. However, the waitress told us not to order any more because the kitchen was too busy?! Very strange experience...

Great curry had a group of 10 they treated us really well really beautiful settling it worth every. Penny if you want something exotic trendy and a touch of Indian culture that is the place the furnishing snd curry and the hospitality is exceptional. When I return back from China I will revisit again. The manager is really friendly and aided me and explained throughly of all the dishes and gave his recommended money well spent will definitely go again
Best curry I've had in ages! Always look forward to it. You know it's a good place when it's always packed for lunch.

Brilliant and original take on Indian feed. We went on a Saturday night and it was remarkably quiet- which was fine for us but it deserves to be busier. Recommend.
Great food especially the Biryani. We enjoyed out mid week dinner at the restaurant Special thanks to the staff member Manjeet for his great customer service and hospitality at the restaurant. Will definitely visit again.

I brought a group for a celebration dinner. The food was superb (taste, presentation, variety), the service wonderful, the place small and comfortably busy. From the delicious starters to the complex and distinctive mains and accompaniments, right to the dessert, It was the best Indian food I have had ever, anywhere. I highly recommend it.
Went on a Tuesday night, as a group of 8 people. We were welcomed, seated and served quickly and after ordering, the food was served in no time at all. All the waiters were friendly and polite and were happy to explain any of the dishes to us and suggest appropriate sides or breads to go with our choices. All my colleagues agreed the food was excellent and a little different to the typical Indian curry fare you find in London. Many of the dishes had an unusual but interesting twist to them. The Kori Gassi was delicious with the addition of pomegranate. I'm sure we'll be visiting again.

Hello, I went here with my family last week and I have to say that it really was a great place. The food was very enjoyable and the place was very relaxing with quick and easy service.
Very tasty pasta, try the Azzurro speciality. Also the deserts were not bad. Service was quite fast. Overall quite satisfied with the experience.

I just randomly stumbled on this place on the way home on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I ordered two vegan cheese burgers, one fries and one chips to take away. Back at home - I’m so impressed that I have stopped eating it to write this review! It’s so delicious! Anyone with any diet will love this food as it’s superb! Will definitely be going back.
Cool space, had some nibbles and a couple of drinks. Food was hot, drinks cold and served by friendly staff. Great spot for lunch!

It's ok but no music was on when we were there. It was a bit awkward. Food was good. Especially potato cakes on aubergine casserole. Service was good as well. Very polite and quick. Just be prepared that it can be a bit quite in there. I also had a starter. It's my fault but the artichoke were sweet but expecting something savoury. The dessert which was vegan chocolate cake was lovely though. We went just after 18 so I think they just opened so it was very quite. But at least food was quick.
lovely restaurant and lovely staff, the food here makes me happy

I had the What the beef burger with sweet potato fries - both were delicious options ! The patty had a good texture, not to stiff or crumbly and was seasoned well. I also really enjoyed the burger sauce and fried onions, they complemented each other nicely. Sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. I also got to taste the peanut butter brownie which was sooo deliciously gooey! If I had to be picky, I'd say the seating wasn't ideal. It's narrow and wobbly so I wasn't overly comfortable. I still enjoyed my visit and i can't wait to come back !
Went with a friend who was raving about this place. First impression was a bit grungy and very young. It was difficult to relax because the seating is uncomfortable and tables are very narrow. You are also encouraged to share tables with strangers which on the one hand is nice & friendly but on the other is totally impractical. This is because in order for people to get in or out of the very narrow space you have to stand up during your meal or interupt fellow diners so they can allow you to pass. So in that sense it's about as enjoyable as having lunch on a bus. Onto the food ordering, you go to the till, order and pay and then wait for your food. The presentation of the burgers is really good. I had the onion bhaji burger on recommendation from my friend and it was delicious. It totally exceeded my expectations in this students union type environment. The menu look really delicious in general and I will definitely be going back to taste other options. This is certainly not somewhere you would go if you would like a relaxed meal but if you want a quick bite and a 20 minute sit down it's absolutely fine.

Went here a few Fridays ago, as work in the city and wanted somewhere new to go. It's a really nice place, decor is so different to the boring bars in the area. We danced into the early hours and had a really good night. Recommend this place for s good night out.
Nice pub but can get busy since the main bar area is tiny

Whilst Cigalon upstairs turns out delicious food - albeit in not overly generous portions - served by friendly and attentive staff, the real gem here is Baranis downstairs. Run by an excellent team, they have a nice selection of off-beat wines, make excellent cocktails and serve great food. For locals this is about as close to Cheers as it gets and the bar's strong support from local workers is a testament to the team's hard work. Great for parties and smaller groups, this is a much loved favourite.
Fantastic french cocktail bar. I organized a party there for my company so that everyone could give a go to the very famous pétanque game. They loved it. You can book a semi-private area. The staff was very nice and helpful although hey didn't wait for me to arrive before serving my guests which made it complicated for me to manage our budget.

I had my birthday here and privately rented the club. Was the best priced place around and open til 4am! They arranged everything for me and made it an amazing night! Great cocktails, great music, great vibes and great staff! I have been here since and would recommend it!
Love this place! Booked a table through Kyle there and he looked after us all night! Will definitely go again!!! 😜😁🤩🍸🍹
