Dental Surgeries - both Private and NHS

Implantcenter Dentistry and Oral Surgery

71 Grays Inn Rd, London WC1X 8TR, UK – 020 3411 9910

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Implantcenter staff for their kindness and patience towards me. It's been a year that I have had no difficulties eating and I am smiling freely. :)

Professionalism and empathy. Next time I come for a consultation at the Implantcenter, I will sit in the dental chair without fear. A perfect choice, I can only recommend the clinic to everyone.

Dentistry 100

64-65 Long Ln, London EC1A 9EJ, UK – 020 7638 7100

This place is a real gem. Dr Parkman is the friendliest dentist I think I've ever had, and the kids all get on really well with him too. The surgery is clean, funky, and they play great tunes. Have recommended him it to several of my friends and they all love him too!!!

South Bank Dentists

Riverside Building, Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 7PB, UK – 020 7183 3558

When it comes to tooth pain, you quickly understand your teeth are Alive and Kicking. Yes I'm that old. A couple of root canals, gold teeth, the standard ones, and some fillings. This gives you a little overview of my exposure to the dentist professional body. Well, I never met any practice who looked so carefully and efficiently to my dental health. Bravo to the all team! And if you really don't want to go to Southbank Dentists for its high quality service, then go for it for its location: superbly situated in the County Hall, next to Big Ben, of course! Looking over your shoulders to see if you're still there, hahaha :)

London Doctors Clinic

Amazing, concerned doctor who took the time to listen and explain. I'm so happy to have found this practice .

Lovely clean clinic, friendly staff. As pain-free as an injection can be. Thank you very much.

London Doctors Clinic - Private GP

4.1, Alpha House, 100 Borough High St, London SE1 1LB, UK – 020 8712 9378

Fantastic experience at the London Doctors Clinic, booking system is easy to use and I got an appointment close to work the following day. Appointment on time and the doctor was excellent. Couldn't recommend more highly.

First rate: quick; clinical; professional - everything you need from a clinic close to work. Got what I required without any unnecessary hassle, nor need to register. Spot on

London Doctors Clinic - Private GP

109, 55 Old Broad St, London EC2M 1RX, UK – 020 8712 9378

Very quick, kind, clean, and efficient. Not a second wasted. Completely reasonable prices as well - I'm quite impressed!

Needed an urgent blood test. Booked online got a near immediate personal confirmation. They were able to respond to a query I had quickly. The appointment itself was brilliant. The doctor tried to save me some cash by offering a variation on the test I needed which I was unaware of. Results came super quick way before the advertised time. Would definitely recommend and if I had the cash I'd come here for everything!

Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG, UK – 020 3456 7890

Had a 10 day stay back in 2012. Could and would not fault a single thing about this hospital. Got me back up and healthy following major surgery within a week. Dr Neil Kitchen is just a genius. Thank god he's alive. Keep on running Neil. All of the staff i incurred were also " spot on "

Had to go there for a blood test it's a pity they don't do children. But if you do need a blood test then make sure you listen and keep am eye on the numbers as they don't call them out or even make a sound when changing.

London Travel Clinic - Liverpool Street

55 Old Broad St, London EC2M 1RX, UK – 020 3432 1381

The nurse was really nice, on time and efficient. The price are just what to expect for travel vaccines.

Really hard to find! The building doesn't have London travel clinic or 69 marked anywhere. It's in a big office block off the main street opposite Cow's next to the Arcade. The office building is called Dashwood. It's in floor 17 but there's no sign. Expensive compared to others but handy if you're in a hurry.

All the staff at St. Joseph's Hospice are fantastic people from cleaners to consultants. I just wanted to say how grateful we all were for the wonderful way my mother was cared for at the end of her life. It eases our pain knowing she was so well looked after in her last hours. The kindness shown, not just to her, but to our whole family was just incredible. We really appreciated the respect and professionalism shown by all the staff. They are among the nicest people we have ever known. We will never forget their exceptional kindness, care, support and dedication. Thank you and God bless all of their staff.

Great staff and lot of activities for the patients. Free WiFi for care takers. Had a small cafe as well.

204 Cambridge Heath Rd, London E2 9NQ, UK – 020 8981 0600

Helpful and lovely staff, a personal touch. It does get super busy though - a credit to their great service - so leave time for the occasional wait. There's a reasonable range of items to look at while you wait and they also seem to have an emergency assessment room although I've never used it or seen anyone need it. The happiest pharmacy I've been in for many many years and very good at their jobs.

The gentleman here was exceptionally kind and helpful!

Chana Chemist

Barchester Healthcare Ltd

3rd Floor, The Aspect, 12 Finsbury Square, London EC2A 1AS, UK – 020 7382 2860

As a regular visitor to Thackeray House I have noticed the rise in stress levels with the Carers. Often only 1 carer is left on the floor to serve meals and answer calls - something has got to give. We want more Carers throughout the day. We understand the reduction of staff is due to a Head Office directive - it is unsafe for our relatives in this sort of environment. It won't be just the staff leaving but your fee paying residents.. it's awful to witness the lack of consideration given to the staff. Visitors should be interviewed to tell you the reality of your directives. Please deal with the staffing issues THEY cannot cope with work levels especially between 11am and 3pm.

Meridian Acupuncture & Herbs

1A Chapel Market, London N1 9EZ, UK – 020 7713 8228

I can't recommend this place highly enough, dr wang is fantastic at what he does and he really takes the time to listen and understand your needs. Julian the masseuse gives by far the most healing deep tissue massage you'll ever have. Such a kind and caring team and great at what they do. Keep up the good work guys and see you soon.

I've never done acupuncture before and due to a persisting upper back pain I decided to give it a try. I came to this place because it was the closest to my place and given by how small the number of reviews it has compared to other centers, I assume that it wouldn't be too busy and that I would be able to get into a session quickly.True enough, I called in about one hour before to schedule my session and I got lucky because there was no other patients at the time. There was a brief consultation before the acupuncture session with the doctor. I thought she did a thorough questioning about my body and diet. The session which involved only inserting needles on my back took about 30 minutes and it was very relaxing and easy. I didn't feel any pain due to the needles, which was what I was scared the most of. Immediately after the needles were pulled out, my upper back pain was gone except for some tingling sensation. I couldn't believe it because the pain had been going on for a week and now there is no more! The doctor suggested that I should come back to help with my acne problem and the irregularity in my period. Everything was done very professionally and the doctor was very gentle in answering my questions (I think she could sense that I was a little nervous!) Definitely coming back here to do more of these session!

Chisense Acupuncture Health Beauty

62 Green Dragon Yd, London E1 5NJ, UK – 07853 984877

Two years of neck and back pain have completely gone after one session of acupuncture from here. A wonderful caring service and a very competitive price too. I highly recommend.

I have been going to the Chisense Clinic for various treatments (mainly acupuncture and threading) for about 4 years now with great results. I highly recommend it! Wen is truly a wonderful professional and person. She is very attentive and cares about her clients, having their best interests at heart. I would not go anywhere else. Wonderful place and practitioner.

Broadgate Spine Centre - Chiropractor, Osteopath & Physiotherapist

65 London Wall, London EC2M 5TU, UK – 020 7638 4330

I have been treated by Richard Hollis for sometime now and have found the clinic to be consistently excellent, both in terms of service and the quality of the treatment. Richard was recommend to me by a Harley Street specialist and I agree that he is an excellent practitioner. I have had significant improvement in my back and neck issues, and headaches since I started to be treated by him after many visits to a number of physios which had little or no impact. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My general experience has also been very good. The clinic is timely and the staff are friendly and very accommodating, even managing to make arrangements so that I can get a same day appointment if needed.

Gary Weir is an excellent osteopath who quickly gets to the root of your problem and fixes it - then gives you some follow up exercises to work on strengthening your core to make sure it doesn't happen again. I cannot recommend Gary or this clinic highly enough.

Wework Old Street, 41 Corsham Street, London N1 6DR, UK – 07771 806458

Elizabeth is a great chiropractor and has helped with my lower back and tight shoulder issues. She is passionate in her job and offers extremely great service! (: One time my sister had strained her lower back and needed immediate help. Elizabeth was able to squeeze in time and see her super last minute and help her relieve the excruciating pain in my sister's lower back. Elizabeth even made time a few hours later to see her one more time just to make sure my sister was alright. Great and professional service, would 100% recommend!! Thank you Elizabeth! (:

Elizabeth is a fantastic Chiropractor, I've had more improvements in the short time I've been seeing her than I have in a number of years with other Chiropractors. She is genuinely interested in the problem and suggests solutions outside of the treatment which are practical and easy to achieve. Her offices are lovely too. I can't recommend her enough.

Islington Chiropractic Clinic

15 Prebend St, London N1 8PQ, UK – 020 7490 4042

I have visited the Prebend Clinic on various occasions and always found the intimate environment a place to take stock and draw breath. Kevin Towell, the massage therapist I typically see there, is a master of his craft. He is extremely diligent and always takes the time to understand the particular problem (in my case neck and back pain!), referring back to his notes from previous treatments. His massages are exceptionally restorative and he always understands the pressure required to alleviate the pain on each occasion.

I have been to Islington Chiropractic clinic for both Massage and Chiropractic, on and off for more than 8 years. They are very good and discussion between different disciplines to work out different ways of approaching treatment. They are very focussed on recovery and reducing treatments down to a minimum. If you like a deep sports massage then ask for Charlotte.

Homeopathy around London

Judith Havas Homeopathy

Marchmont St, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 1AP, UK – 020 7278 3065

I first visited Judith nearly 5 years ago with my 18 months old son, who had a persistent cough. The cough was gone after receiving homeopathic treatment from Judith. Over the years she treated my two sons for a great variety of childhood ailments from tonsillitis to ear infections. I also received treatment from her during my second pregnancy. Judith is very caring and professional. I found her treatments very helpful, she also gives very good health advice.

Judith Havas has been my homeopath for over 16 years, and I could not recommend her more highly. She has helped with many physical and psychological problems. With her immense sensitivity she is able to ascertain precisely which remedy to begin a cure and then will select follow up remedies to complete it. She is sympathetic, thorough and patient. Having established my constitutional remedy, often this is all I need to set things to rights. I could say ‘Anxiety’ is my middle name and I can drive friends crazy with my constant worrying, but Judith, with her gentle understanding, has many times found the remedy which helps restore my equilibrium. She also helped me through my breast cancer treatment, alleviating the inevitable side effects and monitoring my progress, and was always there with reassurance and advice. Recently she has alleviated an ongoing personal health problem. I would happily recommend her to anyone. Idina Le Geyt. London.

Vision Express Opticians

120 Cheapside, Westminster, London EC2V 6BT, UK – 020 7796 1593

I am really surprised that this store has some bad reviews because I only have good experiences. The optometrist girl who did my eye test was just amazing, so nice and so helpful. She shared all the information I needed and I did not feel being rushed at all. I got monthly contact lenses and a new pair of glasses for a great price, it was a bargain.

Had a morning appointment, if that makes any difference. Not my usual store, but closer to work so easier. I arrived a little early but was ushered straight into a small room for the first part of my test. Was told to return to the waiting area after, but as soon as I sat sown I was called in by the optometrist. A very complete test was given by a polite guy who explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. Since I was getting new frames I was then handed to one of the sales assistants. Again, a very good experience. The woman was very helpful and honest. There was no up-sell or forcing of unneeded extras - just helpful, honest advice. Very happy with the experience and will definitely be using again.

Vision Express Opticians

37-39 High Holborn, London WC1V 6AA, UK – 020 7831 2670

In re to the High Holborn branch, I don't know why so many people are slagging them off, but I found the optometrists and staff very helpful and friendly. They even give spare contacts when mine run out. I would give 5 stars, if it weren't for the occasional incorrect order (minor issue)

I have been following Treatment with Meera for the last 3 years and i highly recommed her. Very professional and patient with my check ups. Keep up the good work.

I can't recommend enough my experience. James Birkett is an extraordinary and professional osteopath. I have visited many different doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, massagists... due to a persistent pain in my neck and jaw area and never had the good results I have had with James. Since the very first visit, I felt much better and he has helped me a lot, giving me also precious advice and exercises to do at home. THANK YOU!

Central London Osteopathy & Sports Injury Clinic

325 Old St, Hoxton, London EC1V 9LE, UK – 020 7739 5666

During my business trip to London, I twisted my back and was in pain. I found Central London Osteopathy and got an appointment just a couple of hours later. I was referred to Ange who treated me very professionally in such a way that may back was much better after the session. He has a very good understanding of the body and knew exactly what to do. I definitively can recommend Ange and the osteopathy

I have been suffering from a back pain for awhile (more than 6 years). I have tried many different things and started to think that I have to live with it. I cannot explain how different and confident I feel about myself just after my first session. I am so impressed with considerate and effective treatment. I feel so lucky that my friend told me about this clinic. Truly amazing experience!! Thank you !! Please do not wait or hesitate to make an appointment - you will feel like me - so happy and relieved.

Central Health Physiotherapy

53-64 Chancery Ln, London WC2A 1QS, UK – 020 7404 6343

I received physio treatment at Central Health for rehab for a knee injury. Booking appointments at Central was really easy & quick, and there was good availability at lunchtimes and end of the day, which is really helpful. Lucie, who treated me, was excellent. She took the time to really understand all the context around my injury and lifestyle and was able to help me quickly recover and re-build strength. We were able to progress quickly through the recovery process, which meant I was able to start running again sooner than expected after a knee operation. I'd totally recommend Lucie & Central Health for physio treatment. Thanks!

Firstly, it is a friendly environment. Although you have a timed appointment, there seems to be no rushing, it makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have had physio and massages from various people over the last year and there is indeed a great deal of knowledge, everyone has their own style, but everyone listens... I run marathons, so I use my visits mainly as maintenance for my legs, but have been helped my various niggles and injuries I get from time to time... I 100% recommend CH to anyone!

Covent Garden Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic

South Bldg Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1LA, UK – 020 7497 8974

I have been seeing Andrew Marshall for the past six weeks, after my recovery of a hip replacement had slowed. I must say that the service has been fantastic, and I have felt significant improvements in the functionality and comfort of my new hip. Andrew has demonstrated a remarkable expertise on the muscular and anatomical factors regarding my recovery, but he always explains them in a concise, practical fashion. He answers questions brilliantly and ensures that I am comfortable and confident with each exercise before leaving me to progress through them. On top of this, Andrew's colleagues are friendly and the facilities they operate in are top notch. I would recommend Covent Garden Physio to anyone with not only hip issues, but any other injuries or recovery periods that they may need help with.

Had a great experience here. Everyone who works here are incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a referral for support to a sprained ankle and ruptured ATFL. The physio showed me a series of exercises to strengthen and improve stability which after only 6 sessions has already made a massive difference. Would highly recommend.

She gave me hope and made me realise that everything that I was going through was completely normal. Highly recommended.

Reflexology around London

Learn to be well - Reflexology & Grinberg Method

103 Worship St, London EC2A 2DF, UK – 07463 861218

Very pleasant Pilates studio close to Liverpool Street Station. Charlotte is a very experienced therapist and I personally have not found anything to relax as deep as with reflexology. For me much better fit than traditional massage. Charlotte will also be able to explain you all the relevant stress points , but my main reason of going is the deep relaxation. I fall asleep deeply every time and sometimes even wake up asking myself where I am. Fit one hour into your stressful work week and will help to balance the stress much better.

Charlotte is an amazing person and practioner. I tried a lot of different therapies for my neck issues, but Charlotte was the only one who could help me. I absolutely recommend Charlotte.

Feet Pray Love Reflexology London

37 Whitechapel Rd, London E1 1BW, UK – 07968 287042

I had a very bad problem with my Achilles heal and underneath my foot, where I couldn't even walk. Once I have been there I realised that she does just cure the foot pain. But she actually diagnoses the full body and the systems with the foot. And she gives a detailed diagnosis. And all that I have to do is to enjoy the experience of the best foot massage (ever). I feel my head and my body is lighter and the pain is gone. Definitely going back and would recommend anyone.

My session with Rosanna truly opened my eyes to reflexology. To be honest I was fairly ignorant and skeptical about the subject before I met Rosanna but her warmth and expertise convinced me that I needed to book in a session with her. What a blessing! She made me feel completely relaxed from the moment I came in the room and I couldn’t believe the effects during and after the session. She truly put me back in touch with my body (I was astounded to find how much she could tell about me from my feet!)
